Back to School: Fun in the Park!

As summer bids its final adieu, it's time for swissnex Boston’s annual Back to School event!

This year we're meeting again on Thursday, September 14th, from 5:30pm - 9:00pm at swissnex Boston and in the Cambridge Public Library's park right across the street, for some Fun in the Park!

Alumni Chapters, Swiss social groups, and friends will face off agaisnt each other and compete in five disciplines. You can find a tentative list below:

• Ping Pong Doubles
• Kan Jam
• Sudoku
• Croquet
• Jenga

At registration, you will be asked to pick or create your team, or if you just want to join the event without participating in the games. You will meet your team members at the event and collectively decide who will compete in which discipline.

Following the games, we'll have a brief awards ceremony (with prizes courtesy of Emmi Switzerland and swissbäkers), a quick introduction to the swissnex team, and you will be able to learn more about the various alumni chapters and social organizations on some posters on display.

The goal is to introduce Swiss (or Swiss-linked) students, researchers, and alumni who are new to the Boston area to the Swiss Alumni chapters and social groups, and to provide the local Swiss community with a chance to reconnect after the summer holidays.

The posters will feature information on activities and how to connect with:

Program:

5:30 – 6:00pm: Doors Open & Registration

6:00 – 7:30pm: Fun in the Park!

7:30 – 8:00pm: Awards ceremony and intro to swissnex Boston

8:00 – 9:00pm: Networking and Refreshments
